Moscow constantly tells Yerevan that the European Union (EU) has actually turned from an economic union into a military-political union, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said, Interfax reports.

“We [i.e. Russia] have constantly told Armenia about this; moreover, we have been saying this for more than one year. Naturally, all this happened behind closed doors, we did not want to make it public. We were saying that the European Union today is no longer the economic integration union it was. Today, it is a union that has actually turned into a military-political union, and which openly declares its hostile attitude towards our country,” Overchuk told Vesti newscast.

Moscow has drawn and continues to draw attention to this “the attention of Armenian partners, friends, allies, so that they think about what they are doing,” the Russian deputy premier added.
