The calls of opposition political forces have been heard: the final voter turnout in Armenia proved to be high.

The Central Electoral Commission has just released the voter turnout data as of 20:00 Yerevan time—the moment the polling stations closed.

Thus, out of 2,503,976 eligible voters, 1,476,597 took part in the elections, which constitutes nearly 59%, or more precisely, 58.97%.

Consequently, the voter turnout turned out to be almost 10% higher compared to the previous elections. In the 2021 parliamentary elections, 1,281,174 voters participated, which at the time amounted to 49.4%.

In Armenia's capital, Yerevan, where more than a third of the electorate resides, the turnout stood at 58.46% (496,643).

The most active in the end were the residents of the Syunik Province, where nearly 67% of voters cast their ballots.
