Diplomacy is possible only with countries that respect international law. This was written on social media platform X by Iran's chief representative to the UN ECOSOC, Mohammad Safa.

“Israel, as an entity, does not respect international law. They do not even come close to understanding what diplomacy is,” the Iranian diplomat wrote.

Earlier, it became known that Iran had launched massive missile strikes on northern Israel.

According to a statement by the country's armed forces, the strikes were carried out in response to ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory.

In this connection, US President Donald Trump called on Iran to stop the strikes and return to the negotiating table.
