Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it carried out a missile strike on Israel’s Ramat David Airbase in response to Israeli actions in Lebanon, Mehr reports.

According to the IRGC statement, the target of the attack was Ramat David Airbase, which, the Iranian side claims, was used for operations against southern Lebanon, including the areas of Tyre, Nabatieh, and the southern suburbs of Beirut.

The IRGC emphasized that Iran’s agreement to a ceasefire was contingent on an end to hostilities on all fronts.

However, as stressed in the statement, the United States and Israel failed to fulfill their commitments. Tehran notes that Israel continued military operations in Lebanon, and also accuses the United States and Israel of violating the ceasefire through actions against Iranian vessels and coastal areas in the Strait of Hormuz, the Gulf of Oman, and the Indian Ocean.

The IRGC described the current missile strike as a “warning signal” and said that in the event of further violations and attacks, retaliatory actions would be more large-scale.

“Tonight’s operation was a warning. If the aggression is repeated, the responses will be broader and will target all American and Zionist objectives in the region,” the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said in the statement.
