Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), said that the Israeli military is ready to strike the enemy immediately after receiving political authorization, The Times of Israel reports.
According to the IDF, during a meeting with the senior military leadership, Zamir emphasized: "The Israel Defense Forces will deliver a powerful strike against the enemy the moment the green light is given."
According to the Israeli military, the IDF is preparing retaliatory actions against Iran following the missile attack on Israel carried out in the evening, but the final decision is still awaiting approval from the country's political leadership.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump said that he is urging Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to refrain from retaliating against Iran.
