The "Armenia" alliance has issued a statement reacting to the declarations made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan regarding the election results. The alliance asserts that the assessments and political statements of the head of the current administration were voiced under conditions where the process of summarizing the official election results had not yet been completed.
According to the statement, "at this moment, the central headquarters of the 'Armenia' alliance and our proxies across the republic are busy summarizing the data incoming from the polling stations.
It should be recalled that the Central Electoral Commission has summarized the results for only one-quarter (25%) of the polling stations so far.
Under these conditions, Nikol Pashinyan's statements about his 'victory' and the formation of single-handed power turn into a criminal step toward the usurpation of power, the substitution of the CEC, and gross interference in its activities.
Instead of issuing directives and threatening the judicial system and state agencies without final results, the current regime must still bear legal responsibility for all the election violations recorded during this period, the blatant use of administrative resources, and the repressions exerted against the free expression of citizens' will.
We will inform the public about the final election results, as well as our subsequent steps and actions, after the official and complete data are summarized."
