Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: The fact that the CC [i.e. the ruling Civil Contract party] did not receive a constitutional majority [as a result of Sunday’s parliamentary elections] was happily accepted also by the CC's crypto-pro-Russians and the business class, since, in their opinion, [PM] Nikol Pashinyan thereby gets the opportunity to maneuver before the West, which is pushing him to take steps against Russia, not to submit to its coercion, and may in the future even stall and not take active actions against Russia.

For example, [Armenia] not to leave the EAEU, not to give up the [Russian] 102nd Military Base [in Gyumri], etc., which, by the way, were hinted at yesterday in the congratulatory messages of the Europeans, who consider themselves the full shareholders of Pashinyan's [party’s] victory [in the parliament elections] and will try to push him to take tougher steps against Russia.

Not having a constitutional majority [in parliament] and having a pro-Russian opposition—at least in favor of building normal relations with Russia—in parliament, Pashinyan, according to our interlocutor, can maneuver and not carry out dangerous instructions coming from Europe.
