Our source close to the Strong Armenia bloc reports that there is a decision within the bloc to give up National Assembly (parliament) seats they have won in Sunday’s elections.
We are trying to clarify the information.
According to the preliminary data of the Central Electoral Commission on the aforesaid elections, the votes were distributed as follows: ruling Civil Contract party – 49.825 percent, Strong Armenia bloc – 23.281 percent, "Armenia" bloc – 9.934 percent, and Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) – 3.996 percent.
The threshold for winning seats in the National Assembly is 4 percent for individual political parties. And if the PAP votes increase as a result of the recount, it will also be in the new parliament.
