The ratification procedure of the agreement signed between Armenia and the US on the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project must be ensured as soon as possible, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during a consultation Tuesday.
The consultation touched also upon the announced tender for the restoration and planning of the Akhurik-Gyumri railway section, reservoir projects, the renovation of the railway station in the Yeraskh section, the North-South motorway construction, the construction of the Kajaran tunnel that will be launched in the near future, which will be followed by the construction of the Bargushat tunnel, on which an agreement has been reached with French partners.
“I have no concerns in connection with our [i.e. Armenia’s] financial capabilities, because in the near future there will clearly and undoubtedly be great investment activity in Armenia. The TRIPP project is a billion[-dollar] project that will bring after it an inflow of new billions also. We need to be more confident here. Moreover, our experience in the previous period has shown that money is not what matters, what matters is the content. When we know what we are doing, why we are doing it; that is, the content we need is determined, the issue of money is always solvable," the Armenian premier said.
