It is necessary to show respect for the will of the Armenian people as soon as possible so that they do not face the fait accompli of the political decisions of the Armenian authorities, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

“This is not about disrespecting Armenia’s interests, but about showing respect for the will of the Armenian people as soon as possible so that this people still has the opportunity to choose and does not face a fait accompli,” Lavrov said during a press conference convened following the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
