The economic growth rates in Armenia have maintained positive dynamics; in particular, 7.1 percent growth was recorded in 2025. Economy minister Gevorg Papoyan announced this on Thursday during the discussion of the annual report on the implementation of the 2025 state budget of Armenia at a joint meeting of parliamentary standing committees.

According to Papoyan, the average growth of Armenia's GDP in 2021-2025 was 7.9 percent.

“This is more than the indicators provided for by the government program and the pre-election program of the ruling Civil Contract party, where, in particular, the 7 percent indicator was noted,” the minister added.

For comparison, he presented the following data: in 2025, compared to 2017, Armenia’s GDP grew by 54 percent, amounting to 11.3 trillion drams or $29.3 billion. At the same time, per capita GDP grew 2.4 times, reaching $9,500.

“In 2025, overall productivity in the structure of the economy [of Armenia] increased more than 2 times, compared to 2017, amounting to $11.3 per hour per person,” the minister of economy added.
