US stock indexes ended Thursday's trading session with a sharp rise, posting higher gains after US President Donald Trump called off a planned military strike on Iran and said a peace deal with Tehran was very close.
The S&P 500 index rose 1.75 percent to 7,394.30 at the end of the trading, the Dow Jones industrial average rose 1.86 percent to 50,848.75, and the Nasdaq Composite index rose 2.54 percent to 25,809.66.
