The majority of the agreement on the settlement of the conflict between Iran and the US has already been approved, the Islamic Republic's foreign ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said.
"As for the text, its main parts are almost finished. The problem is that the contradictory positions of the United States have always been the cause of hesitation and disruption in this process," Baghaei said, Press TV reports. All assumptions about the venue and date of signing the agreement with the US are speculations.
According to Baghaei, Qatari and Pakistani mediators are continuing their efforts, but the diplomatic process has suffered due to US aggression. US President Donald Trump had told reporters at the White House on Thursday that a number of final provisions of the agreement with Iran had been agreed upon by all parties involved in the respective talks, but US forces will continue to support the naval blockade of the Islamic Republic until a deal is reached.
