In 2025, the Ministry of Economy of Armenia allocated 43 billion drams to the agricultural sector, and 42.8 billion drams were spent. Minister of economy Gevorg Papoyan on Friday announced this during the discussion of the annual report on the implementation of the 2025 state budget of Armenia at the joint meeting of the parliamentary standing committees.
Thus, the implementation was almost 100 percent. Also, the budget for the agricultural loan interest rate subsidy program amounted to 2.9 billion drams, but its actual implementation amounted to 1.5 billion drams. In addition, 3.7 billion drams were allocated from the state budget within the framework of the program for subsidizing interest rates on loans provided for the purchase of agricultural raw materials.
"So that we practically do not have a single kilogram of unpurchased fruits and vegetables left, we solved that problem by spending 3.3 billion drams. I consider this also a saving: the state budget saved 400 million drams. Moreover, almost the entire harvest of fruits and vegetables was purchased," the economy minister noted.
