Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos on the sidelines of the Brussels meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council of the foreign ministers of the European Union (EU) member states.
First, Kos congratulated Mirzoyan on the ruling party’s victory in Armenia’s parliamentary elections on June 7, which is also a good message for further deepening Armenia-EU partnership, the Armenian foreign ministry informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Mirzoyan, for his part, touched upon Armenia’s foreign policy priorities for the next term, based on the mandate received from the citizens of Armenia through a democratic vote, including the Armenia-EU strategic agenda and the vision for advancing European integration.
The interlocutors discussed specific mechanisms for promoting the economic component of the Armenia-EU partnership and upcoming actions for their implementation.
In addition, FM Mirzoyan and Commissioner Kos exchanged views on the agenda of the Commissioner's visit to Yerevan on July 5.
The meeting touched also upon regional developments.
