US President Donald Trump has announced that an agreement with Iran has been fully signed, and the Strait of Hormuz is already partially reopened for shipping and will be completely opened on June 19.
Speaking in Geneva on his way to the G7 summit, he reported that operations are already underway in the region to eliminate potential mine threats.
According to Trump, ships are beginning to gradually exit through the strait, and the situation is "under control." He added that the complete reopening of the maritime route is expected on Friday.
"We got along very well with Iran," the US President stated.
