Good news: Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev will not decide the constitution of Armenia. Narek Karapetyan, a member of the board of the Strong Armenia party, on Tuesday announced this on Facebook.
“Dear compatriots, today we received the final answer from constitutional experts, according to which even after so many illegalities, after electoral fraud, after the theft of more than 50 thousand votes from an entire party—the Prosperous Armenia Party [in the June 7 parliamentary election], the ruling force does not have a sufficient [parliamentary] mandate to hold a constitutional referendum in Armenia at Aliyev’s demand; Aliyev will not be able to hold a constitutional referendum [in Armenia],” Karapetyan added.
