The fact of peace with Azerbaijan, recorded in 2025, gained legitimacy in 2026. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during the debates on approving the report on the implementation of the 2025 state budget of Armenia at Tuesday’s session of the National Assembly.
According to him, this happened “thanks to the choice and vote of the people of Armenia in the parliamentary elections [on June 7].”
As per Pashinyan, it was in 2025 that the foundations were laid that enable us to move on to the agenda of forming a new, qualitatively new state.
The Armenian premier attached importance to the fact that in 2025, Armenia and Azerbaijan announced the completion of negotiations on the draft treaty on peace and the establishment of interstate relations and the complete agreement on the text.
“This event made it possible to establish peace on August 8, 2025 in Washington, D.C., at the initiative and with the participation of US President Donald Trump,” the Armenian PM added.
In his assessment, 2025 can be considered the best year for the “revolutionary” authorities of Armenia, and one should strive for each subsequent year to surpass the previous one.
