Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Secretary General Nurlan Yermekbayev congratulated Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his victory in the parliamentary elections in Armenia on June 7, the PM’s office informs.

The respective message reads as follows, in particular: “On behalf of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, I heartily congratulate you and the [ruling] Civil Contract party you lead, on the convincing victory in the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Armenia.

Your country is recording successes in improving and modernizing all spheres of public life, ensuring high rates of economic development and strengthening its international reputation.

I note with satisfaction the active activity of Armenia as a dialogue partner of the SCO. Such an approach of Yerevan gives an additional impetus to the Organization’s broad agenda, opening up new prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation.”
