Porsche has launched a special edition of the Porsche 911 GT3 sports car to mark the 75th anniversary of its UK division, Autocar reports.

The new model not only pays homage to the brand’s first cars, which were launched in the UK in the early 1950s, but also showcases the capabilities of its Sonderwunsch division, which specializes in customizing cars to customer specifications. The model is limited to just 51 units.

The Earls Court 51 Edition is named after the legendary Earls Court Motor Show in London, where the Porsche 356s imported to the UK were first introduced to the British public in 1951. The anniversary version is based on the Porsche 911 GT3 Touring, a version without a massive rear wing.

This choice was made deliberately in order to visually bring the car closer to the classic Porsche 356. Its body is painted in a specially developed Earls Court Green metallic shade, created as part of the Paint to Sample Plus program. Silver accents are added to the door handles, mirror housings, and the decorative line on the hood.

Thematic elements dedicated to the Earls Court exhibition are located throughout the body, and the 20-inch wheels at the front and 21-inch wheels at the rear are complemented by inserts in the brand's green color. The car’s interior is also individually designed.

The upper part of the doors and instrument panel is covered with Paldao Green leather, and the seats are covered with Chalk Beige leather. The sports seats have special velvet inserts—an exclusive element that is available only through the Sonderwunsch program. The seat backs are decorated with green leather and decorative wood inserts.

The British origin of the anniversary series is reminded by the images of the UK flag embossed on the sun visors. The technical part has remained unchanged. The car is equipped with a naturally aspirated six-cylinder 503-horsepower boxer engine with a working volume of 4.0 liters.

Buyers are offered a choice between a seven-speed dual-clutch robotic transmission and a six-speed manual transmission. The Sonderwunsch division, whose name translates from German as “special request,” was created back in the 1970s, and in 2021 received a new development.

Today, it offers virtually unlimited personalization options, up to the creation of completely unique cars based on individual customer designs. In addition, the UK division’s specialists are also engaged in the factory restoration of classic Porsche models, completely restoring them to the condition of a new car. The cost of the Porsche 911 GT3 Earls Court 51 Edition starts at £251,951, which is more than £20,000 more than the price of even the exclusive Porsche 911 S/T.
