The fees charged for passage through the Strait of Hormuz have been officially stipulated in the memorandum of understanding signed between Washington and Tehran, Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf announced Thursday.

“The charging of service fees for passage through the Strait of Hormuz has been officially stipulated in the memorandum of understanding,” Ghalibaf said, Iranian media report.

He added that one of the key topics of the talks was Lebanon. “We conveyed to the mediator that the issue of Lebanon and the issue of frozen funds were among the main issues of the talks.”

Earlier, Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said that representatives of Iran and the US had signed the final version of the memorandum of understanding on the cessation of the conflict.

US President Donald Trump, for his part, confirmed that he personally signed the memorandum of understanding with Iran.
