The leaders of the G7 countries, in a joint statement adopted at the end of their summit in France, congratulated US President Donald Trump three times on the resolution of the Iranian conflict, aiming to curry favor with the American leader, sources say, Politico reports.
According to an anonymous diplomat, this was a deliberate gesture so as not to upset the delicate balance within the G7.
The source added that the G7 leaders thus expressed their support for Trump.
