Iranian and US delegations will hold the first round of direct talks in Switzerland on Friday to discuss a number of technical issues, including Iran's nuclear program, sources said, Al Arabiya television reports.
According to them, the parties plan to consider the political aspects of the Islamic Republic's nuclear program, the legal aspects of lifting sanctions on Iran and unfreezing its assets, as well as issues related to Lebanon and the activities of the Shiite Hezbollah movement. These talks may take place in Zurich.
According to Al Arabiya sources, representatives of Qatar and Pakistan will also participate in the talks, and representatives of Turkey and Saudi Arabia will also attend some of the meetings.
Earlier, Reuters, citing the Swiss foreign ministry, reported that the US and Iran on Friday will hold preliminary talks in Burgenstock, Switzerland on the implementation of the agreement reached between them.
