The Paris Court of Appeal has ruled to extradite Paul-Philippe Hohenzollern, grandson of former Romanian king Carol II (1893-1953), to Romania, Ştirile ProTV reports.

After the ruling was published, however, French authorities could not find the former king’s grandson at his home and put him on the list of internationally wanted persons.

Paul-Philippe has five days to appeal the decision.

The Romanian ministry of justice said that the Paris court's decision was the result of effective and successful cooperation between France and Romania.

In April 2025, as reported by Digi24 television, Paul-Philippe was arrested in France and placed under house arrest at the request of Romanian law enforcement. In Romania, he is charged with corruption, money laundering, and fraud related to land plots that previously belonged to the Romanian royal family.
