Tehran demands that the Israeli military leave Lebanese territory soon, stated Ambassador Ali Bahreini, Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations Office at Geneva.

The ceasefire agreement should include the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Lebanese territory; this has not happened yet. Iran believes that it needs to be done as soon as possible, Bahreini told reporters in Geneva.

On June 21, Iran and the US held talks in Burgenstock, Switzerland, with the participation of the intermediary countries Pakistan and Qatar. On Monday morning, the Iranian delegation left Switzerland and headed back to Tehran. And Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Esmail Baghaei announced progress in the talks with the US in Switzerland.
