The US has lifted its naval blockade of Iran in exchange for concessions made by Tehran on its nuclear program, but may reinstate it if necessary, although this is now highly unlikely, US President Donald Trump stated.

"Based on this and other major concessions being made by Iran, I have agreed to allow the Hormuz Strait to remain OPEN, with no further [US] Naval Blockade [of Iran]. However, all ships are remaining in place should it be necessary to reinstitute the Blockade, which seems, at this point, highly unlikely," Trump wrote, in particular, on Truth Social.
