Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: Another issue is not inferior to the agenda issue of taking or not taking the [parliamentary] mandates: will the opposition agree to hold the positions provided for by law?

The NA [i.e. National Assembly] deputy speaker, which in this case will go to Samvel Karapetyan's Strong Armenia party, and the chairs and vice-chairs of the [NA] standing committees. Although Samvel Karapetyan's team assured that they have not yet discussed the issue, there is information that the viewpoints on this issue are also not unambiguous.

A group of oppositionists is radical: [according to them,] assuming these positions will mean settling comfortably in a comfort zone and forgetting about extraordinary developments, therefore, the right [thing to do] is to boycott these positions, especially since the experience of the previous parliament showed that the authorities do not feel bad about it and have no hang-ups that the Constitutional requirement is not being met.

Let us recall that the chairs of the [opposition] "Armenia" bloc's committee and NA vice-speaker Ishkhan Saghatelyan voluntarily resigned from their positions during the phase of pressure on the opposition, and later the CC [i.e. the ruling Civil Contract Party and its parliamentary faction] removed Taguhi Tovmasyan, a representative of the [opposition] "With Honor" Faction, from the position of chair of the [NA] standing committee on human rights.
