A telephone conversation took place between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, the Armenian PM’s office informs.

Modi once again congratulated Pashinyan on his ruling party’s victory in the parliamentary elections in Armenia on June 7 and wished him success in his future activities.

Nikol Pashinyan thanked for the congratulations and, in turn, congratulated Narendra Modi on becoming the longest-serving elected prime minister in India’s history, wishing him new successes for the benefit of his country’s prosperity and development.

The interlocutors emphasized the importance of the continued development of Armenia-India friendly relations and noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation. The intensification of political dialogue, as well as the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in economy, high technology, education, culture, and other domains of mutual interest, were underscored.

The prime ministers touched also upon cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats, and discussed measures aimed at further deepening relations in a number of areas of the Armenia-India agenda.

In addition, the parties attached importance to the organizing of high-level mutual visits to further strengthen cooperation and promote new initiatives between the two countries.
