Talks with Iran will be suspended immediately if reports of no tariffs for ships in the Strait of Hormuz are false, US President Donald Trump stated.

“Iran has informed the U.S. that, despite troublemaking Fake News reporting to the contrary, there are “NO TOLLS, NO INSURANCE COSTS, & NO OTHER CHARGES OF ANY KIND BEING SOUGHT OR RECEIVED BY IRAN ON SHIPS TRAVELING THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ. If this is false information, negotiations would end, immediately!” Trump wrote, in particular, on Truth Social.

The US president added that “no money has been given to Iran, or released from their money to them, by the U.S.”

At the same time, he announced plans to redirect part of Iranian funds under US control to purchase food for the Islamic Republic from American farmers and agricultural producers.

Oman, in coordination with the UN International Maritime Organization (IMO), on Tuesday opened a temporary transit corridor for ships in the Strait of Hormuz, through which passage will be carried out without charging fees.

Trump had announced on Monday that the Strait of Hormuz was completely open. As the American leader noted, in his assessment, the situation in the strait is developing well.
