Turkey's special representative for normalization of relations with Armenia, Serdar Kilic, congratulated Ruben Rubinyan on being elected as the candidate for the speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia.

“I congratulate Ruben Rubinyan—my counterpart in the Turkey-Armenia Normalization Process, with whom we established a productive working culture and a sincere friendship over four years—who has been elected to the post of Speaker of the Parliament of Armenia, and I wish him continued success in his new role,” Kilic wrote on X.

And Rubinyan, who is Armenia’s special representative for normalization of relations with Turkey, thanked Kilic for the congratulations. Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that, as a result of a secret ballot, Ruben Rubinyan was elected as the candidate for the speaker of the next Armenian parliament.
