Explosions were heard in the area of the coastal city of Sirik in southeastern Iran, near the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported by an IRIB correspondent in Sirik.

According to him, at about 23:15 local time, explosion sounds were recorded near the Taheroui pier.

A military source said the cause was a shell striking the area of the Taheroui pier.

It is also claimed that several hours earlier, warning shots were fired from Sirik County toward vessels that, it is alleged, violated the regime in the area of the Strait of Hormuz.

It is additionally reported that earlier, two warning missiles were launched from the Karpan area toward the Strait of Hormuz.
