There were civilian casualties in several provinces of Afghanistan as a result of airstrikes by the Pakistani air force on Sunday evening, Taliban government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said on Monday.

“Last night, the Pakistani military once again carried out airstrikes on civilian areas in Gayan District of Paktika Province, Tsamkani District of Paktia Province, and Manogai District of Kunar Province, Afghanistan,” Mujahid wrote on X.

He described Pakistan’s actions as a “Crime and Aggression,” condemning them.

Mujahid also recalled that on June 8, the Pakistani air force had bombed the homes of civilians in Kunar, Khost and Paktika Provinces, as a result of which 13 people, including 11 children, were killed and 14 women and children were injured.

Earlier, Pakistani information minister Attaullah Tarar said that the country's security forces had carried out a well-planned ground operation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, followed by targeted strikes on terrorist hideouts in the border region.
