Armenia’s Armavir city mayor Varsham Sargsyan, Germany’s Naumburg town mayor Armin Muller, and Armenian ambassador to Germany Viktor Yengibaryan attended the official ceremony of naming an alley after Armavir in Naumburg as part of the latter’s Cherry Festival.

Representatives of both cities, as well as their partner cities of Les Ulis in France and Aachen in Germany, and numerous guests, attended the event.

Armavir and Naumburg were declared sister cities by a partnership agreement signed in 2025. They actively collaborate in educational exchange programs, winemaking, and strengthening business ties.
