Azerbaijan is taking important steps to resolve the issue of missing citizens. Kathryne Bomberger, Director General of the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP), stated this during an international conference on missing persons, in Baku.

Azerbaijan is taking important measures to address the issue of missing persons, and these efforts are being implemented within the framework of the law. Coordination between institutions and families needs to be further strengthened, Bomberger said.

Also, the director general emphasized that ICMP is ready to contribute to the dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the issue of missing persons.

Cooperation between the two countries in this regard is of key importance in peacetime. ICMP also welcomes Azerbaijan's efforts to promote peace, she added.
