Iran is likely to hold talks with the Qatari side on Wednesday. All this will take place within the framework of dialogue with the US to discuss the implementation of the Iranian-American memorandum, Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said.

“We [i.e. Iran] have no plans to meet with American representatives at any level in the coming days. What will probably happen tomorrow in Doha is negotiations on the implementation of the provisions of the memorandum, namely the unfreezing of Iranian assets; but they will be held with the Qatari side,” Baghaei said during a press briefing Tuesday.

Also, he expressed hope that Iran will succeed in achieving results in the unfreezing of its assets.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian had earlier announced that Iran’s $6 billion in assets in Qatar will be unfrozen and the money will be transferred to Tehran.
