The perpetrators of the crimes committed against the civilian population of the Gaza Strip are trying to hide their atrocities through slander, including against Turkey. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated this in a televised address following a meeting of the country's Cabinet of Ministers, reports Turkish state-run Anadolu Agency.

In this way, the Turkish president reacted to the Israeli government's approval of the proposal to recognize the Armenian Genocide. "We [i.e. Turkey] completely reject the slander directed at our country by a criminal network that has the blood of 75,000 innocent Gaza residents, mainly children and women, on its hands," Erdogan said.

According to him, "there is a fact in Turkey's history of providing asylum to those fleeing Nazi persecution." "Those who slander Turkey in order to hide their atrocities in Gaza know this best," the Turkish president added.
