The Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of Armenia has decided at its meeting Wednesday to leave the natural gas tariff for the homes of the country’s residents unchanged.

But as a result of the recalculations, various components of this tariff will change, starting from August 1.

In particular, Gazprom Armenia will receive less money for natural gas transportation, and the company’s executives will not benefit from the employee bonus fund.

In addition, natural gas will become cheaper for Armenia’s thermal power plants.

In fact, the natural gas tariff for Armenia’s residents will not increase until December 31.

Gazprom Armenia director Ashot Hakobyan, who attended the aforesaid meeting, told Azatutyun, the RFE/RL’s Armenian service, that they are not going to submit a petition to the PSRC to increase the natural gas tariff in Armenia.

And PSRC chairman Mesrop Mesropyan, said that they can submit a respective petition as early as next year.
