YEREVAN. – Armenia’s first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan will reject MP mandate as a result of the May 6 parliamentary elections, where the Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc received 7.1 percent of votes (7 MP mandates). The photo report is available here.

“I believe it needless to explain why I reject the MP mandate, it is based on the small representation of the bloc in the new parliament,” he said.

Regardless of the election final results, the ANC will continue struggle with a small group in the parliament, Armenian News-NEWS.am quotes Ter-Petrosyan. As a matter of fact, the bloc has appealed to the Constitutional Court to cancel the election results.
