Oil prices are rising slightly on Friday amid low trading activity due to a US holiday.
Accordingly, at the ICE Futures stock exchange in London, Brent crude oil futures for September were trading at $72.24 a barrel, up $0.44 (0.61%) from their previous close. On Thursday, they had risen $0.23 (0.32%) to $71.8 a barrel.
And in online trading at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), the WTI crude oil futures for August rose $0.35 (0.51%) to $69.04 a barrel. In the previous trading session, their price had increased by $0.11 (0.16%) to $68.69 per barrel.
