Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 519 Ukrainian drones during the night of July 6 over more than 20 regions of Russia, annexed Crimea, and the waters of the Sea of Azov, the Russian Defense Ministry said. The total number of drones that attacked Russia is unknown. The ministry reports only the drones that were shot down.

In Yaroslavl, Ukrainian drones reportedly attacked the Yaroslavnefteorgsintez oil refinery (Slavneft-YANOS), according to the outlet Astra and the Ukrainian monitoring Telegram channel Exilenova+. They cite photos and videos from eyewitnesses. The images show smoke rising over the city.

The authorities of the Yaroslavl region said only that the region was being attacked by Ukrainian drones. Traffic was blocked for several hours on the road leading out of Yaroslavl toward Moscow. Governor Mikhail Evraev did not report on the consequences of the attack.

Ukrainian drones had previously attacked the Yaroslavl refinery multiple times, including in May, Astra notes. This refinery is one of the largest oil-processing enterprises in Russia.

In the Leningrad region, according to preliminary data from local authorities, infrastructure facilities were damaged at the Luzhsky training ground and in the areas of the ports of Ust-Luga and Vysotsk. What exactly these facilities are was not specified. No people were injured.

Sevastopol was left without electricity as a result of an attack on energy infrastructure outside the city, said Mikhail Razvozhaev, the Russia-appointed governor of the city. The official warned that trolleybuses would not run in the city in the morning. Social facilities switched to backup power supply schemes.

Later, Krymenergo reported that a blackout had occurred throughout Crimea. Repair work is underway.
