An American blogger was shot dead inside a Lamborghini in Florida after the U.S. Independence Day holiday, CBS reported, citing local police.

Brianna Johnson, known by the nickname DreamDoll Brii and having about half a million followers on TikTok, died in the United States over the past holiday weekend. The incident occurred early Sunday morning in the city of Miramar, when the 21-year-old was riding in a Lamborghini with two men.

“The victims were traveling in a lime-green Lamborghini Urus… At that moment, a white sedan pulled up alongside them on the driver’s side, and gunfire was opened from it,” the broadcaster reported.

According to media reports, both of the deceased woman’s companions were seriously wounded and hospitalized in critical condition.

The attackers fired more than a dozen shots. After the shooting, the Lamborghini lost control, went beyond the intersection, and crashed into a residential house on the opposite side of the street, according to footage from a nearby surveillance camera.

Local residents told the broadcaster that because it was a holiday weekend, they mistook the sounds of gunfire for fireworks.

According to the latest data from the Gun Violence Archive, 100 people were killed in the United States from gunshot wounds over the holiday weekend, and 20 mass shootings occurred.
