Since February 2022, Poland has transferred weapons and military equipment worth 16.4 billion zlotys (about $4.5 billion) to Kyiv. This was reported to journalists by Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

According to the presentation he provided, most of the tranches — totaling 14.9 billion zlotys ($4.1 billion) — were delivered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2022–2023 under the government of the Law and Justice party. The current authorities of the republic have provided Ukraine with military aid worth 1.5 billion zlotys ($0.4 billion), the minister noted.

He also confirmed that Warsaw had indeed transferred missiles for Patriot systems to Kyiv. “At the suggestion and request of the alliance’s secretary general and the command of the U.S. armed forces in Europe, after consultations with the group of [Patriot system] users, a decision was made to transfer Patriot missiles [to Kyiv]. The quantity transferred does not exceed the limits of our capabilities and does not affect Poland’s air defense potential,” Kosiniak-Kamysz said.
