Some retail chains in Germany have limited egg sales per customer amid a wave of shortages in the country, the newspaper Bild reported.
“Discount retailer Netto ApS & Co. KG is introducing restrictions on egg sales in all of its branches. Effective immediately, the rule is: no more than two packs per customer per visit,” the publication said.
The retail chain Netto has also introduced restrictions on egg sales. There, the limits were explained by supply disruptions in the European poultry products market. The company expressed hope that the situation would stabilize during July.
