Kuwait’s military said the country’s air defense systems responded to “threats from hostile missiles and drones,” CNN reports.

In Bahrain, sirens also sounded after Iran said it intended to deliver a “crushing response” to recent U.S. strikes.

Bahrain is home to the headquarters of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet, which is responsible for patrolling the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea, and the Arabian Sea.

Earlier, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had carried out retaliatory strikes on 85 American targets in the region.
