By deciding to carry out new strikes on Iran, the United States has grossly violated the fundamental provisions of the memorandum of understanding between the two countries. This was stated in a press release from the foreign ministry of the Islamic Republic.
"These aggressive attacks constitute a flagrant violation of Clause 1 of the memorandum of understanding, which provides for the cessation of military operations," the document says.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry emphasized that "the United States, which is violating the commitments it undertook, bears responsibility for the dangerous consequences of the escalation of tensions [in the region]."
