US President Donald Trump’s administration is against Israel's participation in a possible new round of military operations with Iran, fearing that it would lose control over the development of the conflict, two Israeli sources said, CNN reports.

According to CNN, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would like to join another possible American strike against Iran, but Washington currently does not support such a scenario.

The White House has not yet commented on this information.

Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that the Israeli army is ready to resume military action against Iran on its own if necessary.

At the same time, according to one of CNN's interlocutors, Israel believes that Trump is not interested in returning to a full-scale war. The most drastic measure that Washington could resort to, according to the Israeli side, is considered to be the resumption of its naval blockade of Iranian ports.
