Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan expressed hope that Ankara and Washington will not face obstacles in the future regarding the supply of American F110 engines for تركيا's fifth-generation Kaan fighter jets.

"The deadline for filing objections in the U.S. Congress regarding the F110 engines expired yesterday. Therefore, I hope that no problems will arise on this issue going forward," Fidan said on TRT.

According to available data, Turkey has already received several F110 engines manufactured by GE Aerospace and plans to purchase at least 80 more units.

Fidan also noted that there should be no sanctions against Turkey among allies in any area.

"Turkey will never compromise on issues of national security. If we encounter difficulties in acquiring or developing certain defense capabilities together with allies, we will not wait but will seek alternative paths," the minister emphasized.
