U.S. President Donald Trump said he had left instructions to carry out a strike of unprecedented scale against Iran if Tehran were involved in his killing. He said this in an interview with the New York Post.

"I’ve long been on their list. That’s what we’re dealing with. I did only one thing — I left instructions: if anything happens to me, just literally bomb them like never before," Trump said.

The American leader also said that Iran has allegedly been trying for many years to arrange his assassination. At the same time, he denied reports that Israel had recently warned Washington about a new plot against him.

According to Trump, despite the lack of confirmation of the latest information, he considers himself the "number one target" for Tehran.
