Axios journalist Barak Ravid reported on the social media platform X, citing a U.S. official, that about an hour ago the U.S. Armed Forces carried out several strikes on Iranian missile and air defense systems, as well as on small boats of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in several areas near the Strait of Hormuz.

"A U.S. official told me that about an hour ago the U.S. military carried out several strikes on missile systems, air defense systems, as well as on small IRGC boats in several locations around the Strait of Hormuz," he wrote.
