A magnitude-4.1 tremor was registered in Turkey’s Van Province on Thursday, the Turkish media report. 

According to the Seismic Study Center of Istanbul’s Bogazici University, the quake’s epicenter was the Province’s Yumakli village, and it was recorded 6.8 kilometers beneath the surface. 

So far, there are no reports on any casualties or devastation.

To note, the major earthquakes that hit Van on October 23 and November 9, 2011, had claimed 672 lives and injured more than 6,000 people.
